Sante Hospital Provides Free Medical Consultations and Medications to Underprivileged Residents in An Thoi Dong Commune – Can Gio District

Partnering with VietABank in the Charitable Program “VietABank: 20 Years of Partnership and Sharing”, Sante Hospital organized free medical check-ups and medicine distribution for more than 200 underprivileged residents in An Thoi Dong Commune, Can Gio District on the morning of June 10, 2023.

1. Community Responsibility & Humanitarian Significance

Charity medical examination mission organized by Mr. Nguyen Le Tuan – Chairman of the Board of Directors and MSc. Specialist Doctor II Trinh Duc Tho – Led by the Medical Director of Sante Hospital as Head of the delegation, alongside the participation of more than 20 doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and 15 professional coordinators.

An Thoi Dong Commune is a remote area in Can Gio District, where local residents face numerous challenges in accessing advanced medical care. Guided by a profound sense of social responsibility, Sante Hospital brought modern medical equipment and a dedicated team of medical specialists directly to the community to provide healthcare services, with a special focus on the elderly and children.

2. Medical Equipment & Examination and Treatment Workflow

All medical equipment systems, including color Doppler ultrasound machines, digital ECG systems, electronic blood pressure monitors, rapid blood glucose testing devices, consumable supplies, and essential pharmaceuticals, were transported with utmost care, ensuring a safe, rapid, and accurate medical examination and treatment process.

3. Clinical Diagnostic Results & Healthcare Consultation

Through comprehensive clinical evaluations of more than 200 local residents, the medical team identified the most prevalent medical conditions:

• Elderly individuals: Accounted for a high prevalence of essential hypertension, type 2 diabetes, degenerative knee – spinal joint disorders, peptic ulcer disease, and cerebral circulatory disorders.
• Children: Mainly comprising acute respiratory tract infections, tonsillitis, nutritional deficiencies, and school-age dental/oral health issues.

Following the examinations, all residents were provided with prescribed medications free of charge, along with dedicated advice from physicians regarding diet, exercise regimens, and periodic health monitoring schedules at the local health station.
